“Job - A Modern Man,” written by Bethany Schwartzkopf and directed by Michael Slusser, opens Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. and will continue on weekends through November 24, 2019. Performances are Fridays at 7:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. (except Opening Night) and 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special weekday performance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Originally presented in 2012 to record audiences, “Job - A Modern Man” asks what if the biblical Job lived today? What if he lived in our modern world as a successful executive with a loving family, loyal friends, and the best life has to offer? And, as in the scriptural story, what if he lost it all in a flash? This gripping parallel story of Job is set in contemporary times and through dramatic staging and video, explores the age old question: “Where is God in the midst of trouble and tragedy?"
