The Highland Chamber of Commerce will hold a Zoom luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.

There will be no charge for the luncheon since it is a virtual meeting, which will begin at noon.

The guest speaker is Carmela Giliberto, with the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board, a public-private board appointed by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

Giliberto graduated from CSUSB with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, with a concentration in Marketing & BS in Nursing. She started her banking career as a personal banker for Wells Fargo, then specialized in the Payment Industry as Business Consultant for Bank of America. Giliberto experienced entrepreneurship as an independent merchant services broker and is currently a business services representative for San Bernardino County’s Workforce Development Department. Giliberto was a Business Retention Committee member for the city of Ontario, former chapter president of the Executive TEAM chapter in Riverside-Corona and chairperson for the Fontana Chamber Ambassadors. She’s a current board of director for the Asian Business Association of the Inland Empire and president of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Area. Giliberto attributes her success to getting to know her clients, understanding their needs and gaining their trust. Her motto is “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Personally, Giliberto is an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga. She is a lector, choir member and parish representative for the Marriage Encounter Movement of Southern California. Despite her busy schedule, she prioritizes spending quality time with her family. They enjoy playing games, watching movies, traveling, cooking and eating together. One quirky fact about Giliberto is that she loves to tell jokes to make people laugh so next time you see Giliberto, hit her up for one!
