The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has opened the process for selecting new board members. Members in good standing who seek to increase their leadership in the community and involvement with the chamber are encouraged to apply.

The board of directors is the backbone of the organization made up of a group of individuals who understand that far more can be accomplished collectively than individually. It meets once a month for regular meetings, once a year for a board retreat and planning session, and board members are regularly involved in chamber committees and events.

As a non-profit organization, the Highland Area Chamber of Commerce relies on committed board members who help local businesses meet their purpose, mission and fiduciary responsibilities.

Those interested can submit a Statement of Interest by email to HCOC@HighlandChamber.org or by mail to P.O. Box 455, Highland, CA 92346, by Thursday, Oct. 22.

The Nominations Committee will review the submissions and a slate of nominees will be proposed to the full board and then to the Chamber Members at Large in October.
