The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce works to support the economic advancement of the region as well as local businesses. As part of the effort to bring more prosperity to the region and our business members, the chamber testified on Dec. 30 in support of the Eastgate Development at the San Bernardino International Airport.

Stressing the importance of regional hubs as part of a greater fabric for jobs, chamber members, board members and the executive director testified as part of the public comment process in front of the Inland Valley Development Agency.

Andrea De Leon, executive director of the chamber, stressed the importance of creating synergies for local and small businesses for opportunity and how that would help our residents, who are currently forced to find work outside of our area, which causes traffic and congestion.

As a benefit to our members, the Highland Area Chamber of Commerce and its board of directors reviews programs, legislation and developments for support. Developers, businesses and as well as local agencies can contact the chamber for presentations and review of their projects. Projects will be reviewed individually.
