Cal State San Bernardino has been listed 2021’s number one Best Online Criminal Justice Degree Program in the state of California by Best Value Schools.

Best Value Schools recognizes CSUSB “as one of the finest criminal justice colleges in California offering online degrees.”

In January, CSUSB was also listed at number 38 out of 74 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for the criminal justice department’s online master of arts degree program, which can be found on the publication’s Best Online Master’s in Criminal Justice Programs.

“We are honored to be recognized,” said Andrea Schoepfer, chair of the Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. “We are passionate about making the educational experience inclusive, engaging, impactful and accessible for all students. And our success is in large part due to the amazing faculty, staff and advisors who organize and facilitate the necessary components of our programs.”

The online Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program is offered through the College of Extended and Global Education (CEGE) in partnership with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS). The program presents students the opportunity to complete their degree on their schedule. It prepares students to expand their opportunities in the field of criminal justice.

The program now offers a new certificate in Homeland Security, providing students the option to enroll in the six-course certificate that counts toward their elective course requirement, designating CSUSB as the only university in the state of California offering a Homeland Security Certificate.
