Work is tentatively scheduled next Friday night, March 27, to restripe eastbound and westbound State Route 210, between Del Rosa Avenue and Interstate 10; closure windows associated with this work are outlined below. Travel lanes will be shifted toward the outside shoulders to make room in the median for bridge widening activity. This work will take place overnight and only one lane in each direction of travel will be closed at the same time. In addition, freeway on- and off-ramps will be closed for restriping. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.
• Eastbound SR 210 lane/ramp closures may take place between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., Monday nights through Friday mornings, and Fridays from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturdays.
• Westbound SR 210 lane/ramp closures may take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday nights through Friday mornings, and Fridays from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. Saturdays.
Victoria Avenue may be closed intermittently underneath SR 210, for several nights between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., for removal of the decorative rock slope paving between the eastbound and westbound SR 210 bridges. Detour signs will be posted in advance to direct motorists. This work will involve excavators removing the decorative rocks and hauling them off.
Bridge construction activity is underway at Fifth Street, Pioneer Avenue and Victoria Avenue. Activities include pile driving and excavating the bridge abutments (structures at the end of the bridges.) Work hours for these activities are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may see flashing strobe lights on trucks and hear drilling, hammering, and equipment engines.
Please remember all construction is dynamic and the schedule is weather-permitting and subject to change.
