Highland Police Department is collecting nonperishable food for local seniors for its Happy Friendsgiving Food Drive.

Donations will be accepted until Friday, Nov. 13, at four drop off locations. Food can be dropped off at Highland Police Station, 26985 Base Line, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Highland City Hall, 27215 Base Line, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and Fire Station 2, 29507 Base Line, hours vary.

Acceptable items for donation include dry goods (beans, rice, pastas), canned meat (tuna, ham and chicken), peanut butter, jelly, cereal, rolls or bread, canned vegetables, soups, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, corn bread, gravy, pasta sauce and more.
