The Highland Woman’s Club invites you to join them for the start of its 120th year on Friday, Sept. 14, at the Highland Congregational Church for the annual member tea.

The club’s board members will host this free gathering and provide food and drinks for all attendees.

Social time begins at 11:30 a.m. with a catered luncheon at noon followed by the meeting. Lunch is $12 starting with the October meeting. Meetings typically include an educational program and/or a social/community activity.

Since its creation more than 100 years ago, the club has been serving the Highland community with philanthropic and charitable contributions, including scholarships for Highland high school students, the city’s Arbor Day Fund and its community fund.

The club meets on the second Friday from September through May at the Highland Congregational Church at Palm and Atlantic avenues.

Prospective members who join in September will have their dues for the year waived. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Elena Hendrickson at (909) 886-3694 or Lisa Lopez (909) 633-2794 by Sunday, Sept. 9.
