A classic Bel Air was one of the many cars that were decorated with patriotic colors and American flags, during this year's parade in Highland.

The city of Highland is preparing for the return of its annual Fourth of July and is seeking participants to march, walk, ride and drive in the parade.

Participation is free this year and is open to all organizations, groups or individuals. The city invites marching bands, youth program, community groups, car clubs, local businesses and others to help fill the parade after last year’s parade was canceled due to coronavirus safety mandates.

Those interested in joining the parade can register by contacting volunteer services at (909) 864-6861 ext. 203 or by emailing dmoreno@cityofhighland.org, or by visiting Highland City Hall at 27215 Base Line, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Registration deadline is 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 24.

The event will abide by CDC, state and local COVID-19 guidelines.
