Ransom Wilson is named the new Redlands Symphony music director and conductor, June 4.

The Redlands Symphony, under the direction of Maestro Ransom Wilson, will perform “A Classical Christmas,” a concert celebrating the joys of the holiday season in music and song on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Redlands at 1200 E. Colton Ave. in Redlands.

The program will include Respighi’s “Three Botticelli Pictures,” Britten’s “Men of Goodwill,” Tchaikovsky’s “Suite from The Nutcracker.”

Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn’s arrangement of “Jazzy Nutcracker Suite” will be preformed Broadway vocalists, Debbie Prutsman and Jordan Goodsell, will end the program with a “Christmas Sing-Along” featuring traditional holiday favorites.

The doors of the chapel will open at 7 p.m. with a pre-concert talk starting at 7:15 followed by the concert at 8 p.m.

Tickets may also be purchased at the box office on the night of the concert or at the symphony office located at 112 E. Olive Ave., Suite C, in Redlands.
