Dave Leffler, president of the Sons of Norway Soldalen Lodge, is dressed as Jul nisse, Christmas elf.

Julfest, the Norwegian Christmas Festival, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St., Redlands.

The Sons of Norway Soldalen Lodge, a nonprofit organization devoted to the study of Norwegian culture and heritage, invites visitors share Christmas traditions in the forms of wheat weaving, customary foods, song, and dance. Hand-crafted items will also be up for raffle.

Scandinavian coffee and a variety of treats like rømmegrøt, lefse, and krumkake will be served. Donations to provide food for Redlands Family Services will be welcomed.
