Following the recent mandate from the California Department of Public Health’s office and in order to best ensure the health of the entire community, the YMCA is closing all indoor Highland, Redlands and San Bernardino fitness operations to the public, effective Tuesday, July 14, until further notice. Fitness and youth programs will move outdoors. YMCA Day Camp and Preschool University childcare will remain operational.

To continue meeting the wellness needs of the community, the YMCA is modifying operations to offer outdoor boot camps and fitness classes at the Redlands and Highland Family locations. A variety of outdoor fitness classes are available with sign-ups required to ensure distancing standards are met.

As water safety is a vital resource, the YMCA will continue to offer swim lessons. Redlands Family YMCA swim lessons will be offered in the outdoor pool. Programs including circus, aquatics, martial arts, dance and other programs will be moved outside to meet state and county health guidelines.

The YMCA will continue to make wellness calls to senior members, offer virtual classes to help keep members active while at home and partner with other non-profits to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in the community.
