Jenny Brown, animal-rights advocate and co-founder of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in New York––one the country’s most recognized and respected sanctuaries for farmed animals, will deliver a talk on “Eating Animals: The Uncomfortable Truths,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 in the Casa Loma Room at the University of Redlands. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Brown previously worked in film and television until she went undercover in Texas to film farmed animal abuse. That experience led her to dedicate her life to helping farm animals and raise awareness of their plight. Her story and the work of the sanctuary have been featured on National Public Radio and in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, and more. She is also the author of an award-winning memoir-with-a-mission, "The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight For Farm Animals."
