Assemblyman James Ramos

Following a string of key local endorsements, the James Ramos for State Assembly Re-Election campaign announced another key local endorsement on Sunday, Aug. 18, Highland Mayor Penny Lilburn.

Mayor Penny Lilburn was first elected to the Highland City Council in January 2004, and re-elected in November 2008 and 2012. She served as mayor from December 2007-2010 and mayor pro tem from 2011-2013.

“I’ve always tried to work across the aisle and am pleased to have local leaders like Mayor Lilburn support my re-election campaign,” said Assemblyman Ramos. “My focus continues to be representing every community and to be a strong voice for the Inland Empire.”

With Lilburn's endorsement, Ramos has the endorsement of the majority of Highland City Council. Council members Jesse Chavez and Anaeli Solano have also endorsed Ramos.

Ms Lilburn has been a disaster for this city and the only reason she was elected is her “popularity” with the fire fighter union. She will face a challenge in 2020.

She offers nothing.
