On Thursday, Nov. 12, sheriff’s deputies of the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) arrested San Bernardino resident Mark Stricklen for gross negligent discharge of a firearm, relating to a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting incident that occurred in Highland on Thursday, Oct. 1
According to a sheriff’s department press release, at 12:20 p.m. on Oct. 1 deputies from the Highland Station responded to several reports of shots being fired from a vehicle toward another vehicle near the Interstate 210 freeway and Fifth street, in the city of Highland.
During the initial investigation, evidence of a shooting was located in the area and several witnesses were interviewed.
During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 20-year-old Stricklen, a resident of San Bernardino.
On Nov. 12, deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) arrested Stricklen in Victorville.
Stricklen was found in possession of a firearm and evidence of possession of marijuana for sales. Stricklen was transported to Highland Station and interviewed. At the conclusion of the interview, Stricklen was booked into jail for several related charges.
