California Highway Patrol investigators have arrested a 19-year-old Bloomington man accused of running over three siblings and killing them on June 24.
According to the original press release, at 8:35 p.m., June 24, Leonardo Bravo was speeding east in a Dodge Challenger on Slover Avenue on Bloomington veered out of control onto the sidewalk and struck four pedestrians east of Locust Avenue.
Three of the four pedestrians — 20-year-old Angel Jauregui and two 17-year-olds, Jose Manuel Jauregui and Maria Jauregui — died. All three were from Bloomington, The fourth victim, a 49-year-old female, was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
After an intense investigation, the CHP issued an arrest warrant for Bravo on Wednesday, Aug. 29, according to the CHP update. Bravo turned himself in and was booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Central Detention Center in the city of San Bernardino without incident.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision, according to the original press release.
