On Thursday, June 17, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail, arrested Highland resident Joana Aide Aguilar, 24, for sex crimes against a minor.
According to a sheriff’s department press release, the department’s CAC conducted an investigation regarding a 14-year-old female who was sexually abused by an adult female. At the conclusion of the investigation, Joana Aide Aguilar was arrested.
Detectives determined Aguilar sexually abused the victim. Aguilar was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for violation of PC 288.4(a)(2) -Arrange a meeting with minor for sex, PC 289 – Penetration with a foreign object and PC 287 – Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, with a bail of $250,000.
