At approximately 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, a passerby in the area of Base Line and Pennsylvania in San Bernardino saw Nyirankulikiyinka and reported her location to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department dispatch.
San Bernardino County Fire personnel along with personnel from AMR responded to the location. Marian was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of minor injuries and has been reunited with her family.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department thanks everyone who assisted in the search for Nyirankulikiyinka. A special Thank you to the citizen that called in her location and alerted emergency medical personnel.
Highland sheriff’s deputies are asking for public’s assistance in locating Marian Nyirankulikiyinka, a 76-year-old woman who has been missing since Monday, Oct. 21.
According to a sheriff’s department press release, Nyirankulikiyinka was last seen at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday at Highland Community Park, 7793 Central Ave., near her Crestview Lane residence.
She suffers from Alzheimer’s, high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.
A missing person report was made at approximately 10:39 p.m. and sheriff’s department conducted an extensive search through the night with the assistance of Sheriff’s Aviation and a Victorville City K9 unit.
The search continues into Tuesday morning, and the Highland Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding Nyirankulikiyinka’s whereabouts contact the station by calling (909) 425-9793 or sheriff’s dispatch at (909) 387-8313.
