After investigation into threats made against San Gorgonio High School, the district and its police department determined it was safe to lift a lockdown at the school and release students at the usual time.

The San Bernardino City Unified School District Police Department is investigating a threat of violence made by telephone against San Gorgonio High School, and, as a precaution, the school is on lockdown.

According to a district representative, while the call was not believed to be a credible threat, security and law enforcement presence has been increased on the campus in an abundance of caution and to reassure parents, students and staff the campus is safe.

The district has been updating parents through social media and will announce through social media when the lockdown is lifted. School usually lets out at 2:35 p.m. on Fridays, and this is the last day of school before Thanksgiving break.
