On Monday, March 23, one of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s deputy sheriffs assigned to patrol tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The deputy is resting at home at this time and is experiencing flu like symptoms.

The sheriff’s department is investigating how the deputy was infected. Although the department does not know when and where the deputy was exposed to the virus, it continues to encourage all members to heed the warnings of health officials while on and off duty.

Out of respect for our deputy, no additional details regarding their identity or medical treatment will be released.

I think it would be wise to post this persons name so people can know if they have come in contact with this person recently. This is why the virus is spreading.
