A Highland pedestrian was killed in a vehicle vs. wheelchair traffic collision Sunday, Nov. 17, evening, on Victoria Avenue.
According to a sheriff’s department press release, Highland deputies were dispatched to the 6800 block of Victoria Avenue to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian in a wheelchair traffic collision. Deputies and Cal Fire personnel arrived on scene and conducted CPR on the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to Saint Bernardine’s Medical Center by AMR and was pronounced dead soon after arrival to the hospital.
The driver and a passenger were also transported to Saint Bernardine’s Medical Center for the complaint of pain. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending investigation.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative with deputies.
