On Wednesday, Jan. 8, Perry Wiseman, 42, of Highland, plead not guilty to a count of possession and distribution of child pornography during his arraignment by the Superior Court of California.
His disposition has been set for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Wiseman was serving as assistant superintendent of human resources when he was arrested by detectives for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Division on Aug. 16, 2019. He had also previously served as principal, vice principal and teacher in the district.
According to sheriff’s department reports released at the time of his arrest, pornographic photos were found on Wiseman’s computer. The images investigated appear to have been sourced from the Internet and did not appear to be students of the district.
Wiseman’s role as assistant superintendent limited his interactions with students, according to the report.
