The week of March 30, crews will continue work to restripe eastbound and westbound State Route 210, between Del Rosa Avenue and Interstate 10, necessitating periodic lane closures.
Travel lanes will be shifted toward the outside shoulders to make room in the median for bridge widening activity. This work will take place overnight and only one lane in each direction of travel will be closed at the same time. In addition, freeway on- and off-ramps will be closed for restriping. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.
• Eastbound SR 210 lane/ramp closures may take place between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., Monday nights through Friday mornings, and Fridays night through Satruday mornings from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Westbound SR 210 lane/ramp closures may take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday nights through Friday mornings, and Fridays nights through Saturday mornings from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m.
Crews are planning a full closure of EB 210 at Base Line Street, between midnight and 5 a.m., Thursday, April 2 and/or Friday night, April 3, to set k-rail. Motorists will be directed to exit EB 210 at Base Line and will re-enter the freeway via the Base Line Street on-ramp.
In addition, there may be intermittent overnight full closures of Pioneer and Victoria avenues under SR-210, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday, April 3, to restripe city streets. Detour signs will be posted in advance to direct motorists.
Bridge construction activity is underway at Fifth Street, Pioneer Avenue and Victoria Avenue. Activities include pile driving and excavating the bridge abutments (structures at the end of the bridges.) Work hours for these activities are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists may see flashing strobe lights on trucks and hear drilling, hammering, and equipment engines.
Please remember all construction is dynamic and the schedule is weather-permitting and subject to change.
