Dawn Rowe

District 3 Supervisor Dawn Rowe who is up reelection for the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors in March.

The California Supreme Court has reinstated a stay pending the county of San Bernardino’s appeal of the Sept. 18, 2019, by Superior Court of San Bernardino that the 2018 appointment of Supervisor Dawn Rowe was a violation of the Brown Act and “null and void.”

The stay had been lifted by a Jan. 8 ruling of the San Bernardino Appellate Court.

County spokesperson David Wert said, “[The county is] in the process of getting a clarification” from the California Supreme Court on which court will be reviewing the case. Now that the stay has been reinstated the board of supervisors is no longer considering rescinding Rowe’s appointment at its Jan. 28 meeting as originally planned following the Jan. 8 ruling.
