Beverly Irene Phillips (née Siebert) a longtime resident of Highland, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020.
Beverly was born on Aug. 16, 1935, to Raymond and Helen Siebert in Ladd, Ill. She was raised with her three brothers, Arthur “Duke,” Raymond “Jayar” and Gerald “Jerry” Siebert. When she was 16, her parents surprised her with a baby sister, Melodee.
The Siebert family moved to San Bernardino in the mid-1940s, where they opened a neighborhood grocery store, and Bev worked there for many years.
Beverly graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1953 and wed Bobby R. Phillips shortly after graduation. Together they had five children, Bobby, Debby, Tammy, Mark and Robyn.
Bev had a career in customer service working in many stores including managing GNC for many years. Beverly was a member of First Christian Church in San Bernardino. She loved get togethers and devoted time to planning reunions for the San Bernardino High School class of 1953. She enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, her friends, chatting on the phone, and shopping on QVC.
Bob and Bev celebrated 63 years of marriage before he passed away in 2016.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Siebert; husband, Bobby Phillips; brothers, Duke, Jayar and Jerry Siebert, and daughter Robyn Bliven.
Bev is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Marshall and Tamara Phillips; her two sons and her daughters-in-law, Bobby (Linda) Phillips and Mark (Sharon) Phillips; her sister whom she raised like a daughter, Melodee (Ted) Franklin; her grandchildren and countless beloved family members and friends.
Friends and family will always remember Beverly as a kind and loving person. She always had a smile and never left home without lipstick. She was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed. We are comforted in knowing that her suffering is over and she once again remembers all of the beautiful memories of her life.
