David Scott Ingalls passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58 on Sunday, Sept. 20. Known to most as Scott or Scotty, he dedicated his life to making those around him happy.
Ingalls was born in San Bernardino on June 26, 1962.
He was a devoted father and enjoyed playing the guitar. Scott truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He proudly lived and worked as a cook in San Bernardino his entire life.
He began his career at Jay’s coffee shop at the age of 18, a position he held until it’s closing in 2005. Most recently he was the head cook at the Pepper Steak.
He loved to cook for people and considered many of his customers and coworkers extended family. According to his family, he had a heart so big and strong and a laugh that was infectious.
Scotty is survived by his Mother Barbara Ingalls his two daughters Jacqueline and Caroline Ingalls as well as his beloved siblings, Gary, Paul, Dale and Susan Ingalls.
“He was the rock of our family and we are lost without him,” his family stated.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Elk’s Lodge, 2055 Elks Dr., San Bernardino.
