Longtime resident of Highland, Prosper L. Jure dies Saturday after a lengthy illness.
Prospers’ early years were spent in Redlands where he attended elementary, middle and high school.
When WWII broke out Prosper joined the Army.
When the war ended he continued his service by remaining active in the Reserves and was called back to duty during the Korean conflict.
Returning home, he worked at Norton Air Force Base as a welder for 30 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents Prosper and Mary Jure, sister Lillian Skinner and daughter Diana Gould.
Jure is survived by his wife, Faylisha, daughter Donna Guiles, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill St., San Bernardino.
