Over 20 people dropped by on Saturday, Feb. 1, to view a new mural that was painted in memory of former NBA star Kobe Bryant who died with his daughter Gianna and eight others in a helicopter crash on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Jesus A. Castaneda an ortho assistant, spent over 50 hours over three days to complete the mural. He said he painted it not only to remember Bryant but to remind people of his “drive, determination and the hope,” he brought to people.
Castaneda was assisted with the painting of the mural by his friend Ronald Delcid of Riverside and Carlos Hernandez, the manager of Vernon Dental Specialties Group who provided the front of the dental office for the mural.
If you would like to see the mural it’s at 1655 Mt. Vernon Ave. in San Bernardino.
