Robert Franklin Plomb, 86, of Cherry Valley Passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, peacefully in his home.
His golden heart beat stopped, as the last words of Psalms 23 was read over him. He was born on Dec. 24, 1932, in South Bend, Ind., where he was a resident for 50 years.
He has been a resident of Highland and Cherry Valley for 37 years, since 1982. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and his daughter Tracie.
He is survived by his two brothers Ronald Plomb and Michael Plomb, both of Niles, Mich.; his two daughters Pamela Plomb and Tammy Carlisle, and her husband William; grandchildren John Iwaniuk, Nick Iwaniuk, Joseph Carlisle, Christina Carlisle, Benjamin Carlisle and Maxamlion Carlisle; great-grandchildren Allie Iwaniuk and Mylee Iwaniuk.
Robert loved life and his family very much and was especially proud of his grandchildren. Robert owned his own business for 14 some years in Niles Michigan as a salesman in the lightbulb world.
He then moved to Southern California where he continued towering as a heavy equipment salesman. He was a people person who loved building relationships. In his spare time, he loved collecting coins, stamps and cars.
Tammy Carlisle describes her dad as a humble man who would give you the shirt off his back, if you would ask.
He will forever be loved and missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Base Line.
