Sean Michael Ellefson, 60, of Highland passed away at his home on Aug. 22, 2019. Sean was born the sixth child of Ellwood and Rose Ellefson in Hibbing, Minn., on June 9, 1959, and moved with his family to San Bernardino, Calif., at the age of 6 weeks.
Sean was a lifelong resident of Highland and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Highland. He graduated in 1977 from San Gorgonio High School and went on to become a general contractor.
He was an avid collector of all things vintage; he took great pleasure in searching for the perfect find. Sean meticulously restored a vintage Raleigh bike so he could participate in the Tweed Bike Ride in San Diego.
As a lifelong learner he was more than happy to share his knowledge and took great pleasure in listening and learning from others. Sean loved swimming in the ocean and everything about Portland, Ore.
Above all, Sean was a kind and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known by all for his kind smile, gentle soul and willingness to help anyone in need. Sean never met a stranger, he enjoyed and appreciated all the little things life has to offer, especially engaging in conversation with family, friends and strangers.
Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Ellwood Ellefson, Rose Ellefson, brother-in-law Wilbert Gonzalez and nephew Adam Mann.
He is survived by his seven siblings, Greg Peterson (Christy Peterson), JoAnn Gonzalez, Timothy Ellefson, James Ellefson (Jennie Ellefson), Dolph Ellefson, Laurie Allen (Vincent Allen) and Kara May (Christopher May). He was the loving uncle to 20 nieces and nephews and left a lasting impact on their lives.
