Promise kids eagerly listening on preview day on last month(September).

More than 1,200 eighth grade students in San Bernardino visited Cal State San Bernardino during the month of September as part of the Promise Scholars program.

CSUSB’s Campus Visitor Services and Events office in Admissions and Student Recruitment showed the students what life is like on campus and what the university has to offer them.

According to the Promise Scholars website, “The Foundation’s mission is to help children achieve their college and career dreams,” and “to ensure all students in the community have access to an education after high school.”

Since 2011 the initiative’s capacity has grown to serve more than 20,000 K-12 students and 1,000 parents per year. For more information go to the Promise Scholars website.
