I would like to take a moment to congratulate Redlands High Mock Trial and Academic Decathlon teams for moving on to the state finals.

It takes hard work, lots of time and determination to get where these students are.

Donna St. George, their teacher is also to be commended for the countless hours she has put in with both of these teams.

As I interviewed her she told me about the students she has shaped throughout the years. For example, Redlands student Matthew Le is the third sibling from his family to participate in the mock trial program, after his two older siblings also attended under St. George.

Teachers like St. George should be celebrated for what they have accomplished.

I certainly wish I had more teachers/professors like this during my college years that impart good values to their students.

So to both the Redlands High Mock Trial and Academic Decathlon teams may you soar to victory in your finals.
